# Reload Roleplay Community Rules

Please note these are the official rules. If you are told different otherwise please ignore that unless it is from a member of the management team.

# Section 1 - Community Rules

Reload Roleplay is very proud to be an Adult community. It certainly doesn't mean you have to be over 18 to play here however you will find a lot of our members are. We respect the younger people and elders in our community and no discrimination will be tolerated. We expect people to show respect, act like an adult, and treat people how you would expect to be treated to keep this a place that people enjoy and look forward to coming back to. If there is a disagreement then disagree in a noble and adult manner. At the end of the day we are here to have fun and enjoy one of the best role play experiences you will find on the internet. If you are here for drama or arguments then it won't be long until you will be shown the door and it is extremely rare to be unbanned for the following important rules.

(1.1) Bullying is punished by a permanent ban without appeal.

(1.2) Do not express discriminatory or otherwise offensive views. This is no place for racism, religious hatred, ageism, sexism, homophobia, gender or disability discrimination. Punishable by a permanent ban without appeal.

(1.3) Any threat to, or harassment of, any person, or the community, will not be tolerated and a permanent ban will be issued.

(1.4) Any attempts to harm or otherwise disrupt our infrastructure will not be tolerated and a permanent ban will be issued.

(1.5) Forcing or encouraging another member of the community to break a rule is punishable by a ban.

(1.6) Providing a false age when applying to join a whitelisted faction in order to circumvent the age limits is punishable by a ban.

# Section 2 - Fair play

(2.1) Vehicle Deathmatch (also known as VDM) - Using any vehicle as a weapon (e.g running people over, causing explosions including while sling loading, ramming, etc), will result in you receiving a ban. Three vehicles are excluded from this, MRAPS (Ifrits, Hunters and Striders) can ram other MRAPS in order to disable them, yet not to kill the passengers. This is allowed as these vehicles are the only vehicles ingame that can withstand being rammed. Please note that you need to initiate roleplay before attempting to ram an MRAP. (Please note - MRAPS don't need to be initiated on in the redzone) This is to prevent random ramming on site. (Three minutes of chasing also constitutes initiation of MRAP and MRAP ramming).

(2.2) Random Deathmatch (also known as RDM) - Shooting at someone without engaging in any form of quality role play is considered RDM. (eg. Giving enough time for them to comply with your order. Count downs are not considered quality roleplay, please at least attempt to create an interesting roleplay story before considering shooting.)

For an initiation to be considered valid, clear and direct verbal commands must be issued to the individual being robbed. A minimum of 5 seconds must be given to allow them time to comply. If the individual fails to demonstrate intent to comply after this period, the initiator may engage with lethal force.

It is important to note that the risk of a failed or lethal outcome lies with the initiator.

Example of a Valid Initiation:

Robber:This is a robbery. Put your hands above your head or you will be shot!” [waits at least 5 seconds] Victim:Okay, okay! Don’t shoot— my hands are up!” or “Back off, or I’ll defend myself!

When robbers are acting in alliance with another gang, they must clearly state their affiliation. Or, the allied gang must also perform their own initiation for their involvement to be valid.

Punishment to breaking this rule is a ban. This rule is not applicable in the red zone.

(2.3) Using any sort of modification that changes the functionality of your game is not permitted to be used while you are logged into our servers. This includes non-malicious graphical enhancement utilities. We have systems in place in order to detect and punish users for this type of offence. This offence will result in a permanent ban without chance for appeal.

(2.4) Using any exploits such as looting dead bodies, duplication of items or money, using the ‘Flip Vehicle’ feature outside of its intended purpose, transferring / processing items through walls and windows, and locking doors that have been broken into before 10 minutes have passed, IE those that have been bolt-cut. Punishment is a permanent ban without appeal. If you discover an exploit that nobody else knows about, please reveal it to a staff member privately in order to ensure that it does not be abused in the future.

(2.5) Combat logging at any point during RP is exploiting. Some examples of this include: logging out during a firefight, being chased by the police, arrested by the police, while dead awaiting a medic, logging out in order to save gear, rage-quitting, logging out whilst restrained/detained. Punishment is a ban. Staff can make an informed decision depending on if you’ve made an attempt to resolve the issue. We do suggest you attempt to rejoin the server and continue the roleplay (try messaging them with the mobile system first).

(2.6) Combat storing, such as storing a vehicle whilst you are being chased, impounding/scrapping your vehicle to gain an advantage or to otherwise prevent roleplay will result in a ban.

(2.7) Trolling - The following examples are considered trolling however there are multiple others so we advise common sense. Running around the police/medics/anyone, throwing yourself in front of vehicles, playing music in any chat or on teamspeak, bombarding the messaging system, buying multiple vehicles to block spawn areas or using them to blow things up, jumping off buildings without RP,spamming the vote admin or vote kick system, talking/playing music in the lobby screen, playing soundboards/voice changers ingame and open TS channels (Punishment is a ban, or permanent ban depending on the severity).

(2.8) Threats to report / disputes / Breaking RP in Voice. There are so many people on the server with all different points of view and disputes and disagreements are all part of the game, however please do not discuss them in-game also do not break RP in voice. For example if someone has RDM’ed you discussing this on the server or saying “I am going to report you” is not allowed. Please use the Discord forums or teamspeak to report or discuss only (Punishment is a ban) Exception: You may contact someone using the text system if they are not on teamspeak or on the forums. Please only attempt to make this contact in effort to resolve the issue, not to antagonise the other player/users/members.

(2.9) Trading - Reload Roleplay does not condone any sort of real life to ingame trading or vice versa. This is due to the fact that we do not want to be looking like a commercial entity, or any of our members for that case. You are free to donate on behalf of a member as an act of kindness, but not in return for an item. Bad Example: “Whoever wants donator send me 2 million in cash.” Exception: “I am having a cross Altis race, winner will receive a free donator package for one month!” (Please authorise with a staff member if you wish to do this, or we may see it as a breach of this rule (2.9).).

(2.10) Idling If you need to go to the shops or go away from your PC for more than 5 minutes then please kindly disconnect from the server. If you have been spotted that you are away for a prolonged period, you will be kicked from the server.

(2.11) Teleporting - Once you have spawned in you are unable to respawn unless you have been killed or are stuck in a position due to a bug (please take screenshots). You cannot respawn to get to another location quicker. Abusing the garage system to teleport goods is also considered teleporting.

(2.12) NHS Medics -The NHS are here to help and revive people. It is a bannable offence to kill a medic, take their vehicle, take them hostage or rob them. In the Redzone medics may be killed however all other rules regarding medics apply.

(2.13) Please keep all aviation 100m above any greenzone excluding the airport.

(2.14) Spawn Island - You are not allowed to visit "spawn island", and vehicles on the island will be scrapped. Anyone caught firing weapons or stealing from those spawning in on spawn island will be removed.

(2.15) Armed vehicles are not allowed to shoot at any target while sling-loaded and off the ground.

# Section 3 - Communication

(3.1) You must remain in character at all times, unless a uniformed Admin authorizes you to speak out of character. Roleplay everything.

(3.2) Out of Character Chat (OOC) interactions must be made over side chat.

(3.2.1) Extended OOC interactions are forbidden.

(3.3) Microphones are required on Reload Roleplay.

(3.4) Side (OOC) chat roleplay is forbidden. You must not use side chat to broadcast events that you observe (for example, you may not broadcast "X are going to rob the bank"). The exception is advertising your in game business.

(3.5) You must hot-mic all communications that have been made over teamspeak when they are relevant to influencing the course of roleplay. This means that if you are communicating to fellow team members via Teamspeak and you are in audio proximity range of another player (they can hear you), you must hot mic any commands given so the rival player can overhear. This rule does not apply if both sides are engaged in a gunfight together.

(3.5.1) When your communication devices have been taken from you by another player, you must not use external methods or group chat to communicate with anyone else. Only direct chat is to be used in this case.

(3.6) Continuing to roleplay subjects of a sensitive nature after being requested to stop by another player is punishable by a ban. Any off-limits/Taboo topic is not permitted. No form of non-consensual topics/roleplay is tolerated here and will result in a ban.

(3.7) Baiting - Baiting for the sake of a gunfight is not roleplay. Punishment is a ban. Examples: Flying over someone with a chopper waiting for warning shots to instantly shoot them back, robbing a service station with the intent of a gunfight, etc.

# Section 4 - Meta Gaming

(4.1) Side Chat - Using intelligence gained on side chat to influence actions in game. Punishment is a kick/ban.

(4.2) Name Tags / Collar Numbers - You are not allowed to identify players in game via nametags or keychains. Police and NHS ranks and collar numbers are fine, as they “wear clothing with the rank on” unless they are undercover. (Not in their uniform or masked.)

(4.3) Scouting teamspeak - Searching through Teamspeak to see what police/rebels are doing (e.g. Seeing police are in Bank/Hostage operation room, then acting on this information)

(4.4) Stream Sniping - If you are on the server or have a friend on the server do not watch someone who is live streaming on our server and use their location information or information from that stream to meet up with them/kill them etc

(4.5) When joining the server, you cannot involve yourself in any ongoing gunfights involving your group/faction for 15 minutes.

# Section 5 - New Life Rule

A new life means that your character has lost all previous memories. It still is the character you play, example: You are still apart of the rebels or cops and you still knows all your friends. Your character forgets the events and information leading up to their death. The only exception to this is your wanted level. Wanted/Bounty prices are persistent over deaths to enable long winded police chases and without this we wouldn’t have police tracking down the person with them being on the run for weeks/days. Example: Matt, John and Ben are rebels who try to rob the bank. During the shootout with the cops, Matt and Ben die, John gets arrested and spends some time in jail. When they all meet again, they all would roleplay the situation in a way that they all tried to get away, because they realized that they couldn't handle the situation. Matt and Ben got away, though John got caught. If the players want to have the deaths involved, they might tell stories of other rebels that died there, who were with them initially.

(5.1) A new life starts, when:

  • Your character has been killed by a cop.

  • Your character has died in a RP situation.

  • Your character has been involved in an accident.

(5.2) A new life does not start when:

  • Your character has been the victim of a clearcut case of VDM

  • Your character has been the victim of a clearcut case of RDM

  • You are downed

  • You disconnect (end of session)

(5.3) When you respawn:

  • Your character does not remember any previous roleplay situations.

  • Your character does not remember where any of its vehicles outside the garage are

  • Your character does not remember any previous enemies (your killer/robber etc)

  • Your character cannot return within 1000m of the location of death or be involved in the same combat situation until the 15 minute NLR timer has expired.

  • Your character does remember their friends & gang members.

(5.4) When you are revived/downed:

You may not actively enter or continue any combat situation for the next 15 minutes. Your character retains all knowledge of the time before they are downed. While you are downed you may not divulge tactical information to anyone. The exception to this is information spoken in direct chat in game. Please be mindful that you are heavily injured and should act accordingly. This does not apply if your character has been the victim of a clearcut case of RDM/VDM.

# Section 6 - Zones

There are 3 types of marked zones that you will experience on the map. Green zones are “Safe” areas where players are able to convene without hostile interruption. They are not safe havens from the law however, Police can attempt to arrest you. Blue zones are “Police” areas where extra protections are afforded to Police. Orange zones are "Imminently Hostile" areas where the zone will soon turn to a red zone (usually during major crimes or police raids). Red zones are “Hostile” areas where certain rules are suspended.

(6.0.1) You must not abuse the boundaries of any marked zone on the map. Using the boundary to troll/taunt or temporarily gain protection is forbidden.

Green zone specific rules:

  • (6.1.1) You must not attempt to kill anyone in a green zone.
  • (6.1.2) Lethal weapons must be holstered in green zones at all times. Breaking this rule can result in being kicked from the server.
  • (6.1.3) You must not knock out and rob other players in a green zone.
  • (6.1.4) You must not lockpick or steal a vehicle from the green zone.
  • (6.1.5) You must not park or leave your vehicle inside of a green zone in order to sell illegal items such as drugs or guns.
  • (6.1.6) You must not exploit the green zone to avoid ongoing hostile roleplay. Retreating into a green zone is forbidden.

Blue zone specific rules:

  • (6.2.1) You must not attempt to kill anyone in a blue zone
  • (6.2.2) Lethal weapons must be holstered in blue zones. This rule does not apply to the police. Breaking this rule can result in being kicked from the server.
  • (6.2.3) You must not lockpick or steal a vehicle from the blue zone. This rule does not apply to the police.
  • (6.2.4) You must not park or leave your vehicle inside of a blue zone in order to sell illegal items such as drugs or guns.
  • (6.2.5) Retreating to a blue zone while being engaged in a gunfight is not allowed.

Orange zones have the same rules as Blue zones until they change to Red zones.

Red zone specific rules:

  • (6.3.1) All other server rules apply in the Red zones with the exception of the RDM rule.
  • (6.3.2) Hostages are not to be taken into the Red zones.
  • (6.3.3) For Red zone specific rules to apply, both shooter and victim must be inside the Red zone.

# Section 7 - Initiation

Roleplaying as a rebel or a criminal on the server is an exciting roleplay opportunity and a huge part of the game however to make sure this is fun for all we have some important guidelines and rules.

(7.1.1) Taking hostages must be roleplayed to a very high quality.

(7.1.2) Own gang hostages - You are unable to take your own gang member(s) hostage.

(7.1.3) Killing someone must be carried out with high quality roleplay, “put your hands up or I will shoot” etc is considered low quality RP and may lead to a ban for RDM/Fail RP. Executing another player must also be carried out with high quality roleplay, the only exception to this rule is if both you and the victim are engaged in an active gunfight together.

(7.1.4) Using the in game phone to warn police. You are unable to use the ingame phone to warn the police for example “Any cops seen within ‘x’km will be shot on site”

(7.1.5) Police Sirens - When the Police put on their sirens lights to pull you over to attend to a scene this does not mean RP has been initiated on their point, if you shoot without engaging in RP then this is classed as RDM.

(7.1.6) Spike strips - Use of spike strips doesn't constitute any form of roleplay. Failure to engage in quality roleplay is classed as RDM.

(7.1.7) Warning shots must be issued with 3 tracer rounds past the front and rear of the aircraft. Enough time should be given to comply before taking action.

# Section 8 - Major Crimes

(8.1) All Rebels participating in a Major Crime must belong to the same gang. Alliances are not allowed.

(8.2) During an active Major Robbery, only Police and members of the gang conducting the robbery are permitted to enter the Major Crime compound or area. Other players may only engage the robbing gang during the Transport Phase, which begins when the first truck carrying Major Crime goods leaves the compound.

(8.3) Police must always send an unarmed negotiator to a Major Crime scene. The negotiator cannot be harmed and must be allowed to leave safely once negotiations have concluded or failed. At the end of negotiations, both sides must clearly initiate, stating what will happen once the negotiator leaves. No shots may be fired by either side until the negotiator is at least 500 meters away from the compound.

(8.4) At least one entrance to the compound must remain unblocked to allow the negotiator to enter and exit safely for the negotiations.

(8.5) Major Crimes are divided into two Phases.

  • Phase One is the Compound Robbery. If a player dies during this phase, they may not return until the Transport Phase begins.

  • Transport Phase begins when the first truck leaves the Major Crime compound. If a player dies during this phase that is the end of his involvment.

Each participant has one life per phase, meaning a total of two lives for the entire event.

(8.6) In the case of the HM Treasury, placing the blasting charge during negotiations is considered an initiation. This ends the negotiation phase, and the Police negotiator must leave the compound immediately. No shots may be fired by either side until the negotiator is at least 500 meters away.

(8.7) If you die during any phase of a Major Crime, that phase is over for you — even if you are revived.

  • For example, if you die in Phase One and are revived, you must wait until the Transport Phase (Phase Two) begins before participating again.
  • If you die in Phase Two, your involvement in the Major Crime is completely over, and you may not return under any circumstances.

# Section 9 - Licensed Jobs

TBD

# Section 10 - Police Rules

(10.1) All police must have a microphone and be on Teamspeak. If your microphone is not working or you're not on teamspeak then do not connect to the server.

(10.2) Police may not sell their equipment, or willingly give their equipment away. If there is a strong roleplay cause, exchanges can be made.

(10.3) Tasers must be used unless lethal force is ordered by the highest ranking officer in that situation or if the situation requires lethal force to be used (check police handbook).

(10.6) PCSO’s and unarmed negotiators are not to be taken as hostages. If you find yourself taken as a hostage at these ranks: Inform the person (out of roleplay) that they cannot detain you at this rank. If they don’t release you, you are allowed to log out as a last resort.

(10.7) Police are not allowed to execute players. Punishment is a ban.

(10.8) When communicating with an aircraft you must use either Alt+1 to advise the aircraft to leave the area or risk getting shot down or Alt+2 for the aircraft to land or they will be shot down. This is NOT initiation until shots are fired at the aircraft.

# Section 11 - NHS Rules

(11.1) Medics are not allowed to follow gangs or Police around. Please patrol the full island of Altis.

(11.3) Do not rent vehicles or purchase equipment as a medic then switch to civilian and use them.
