# Runs
Resource runs will be one of the main sources of income when you start out on the server.
TIP
There are legal and illegal runs.
Legal runs are denoted with a green marker.
Illegal runs are denoted with a red marker.
Illegal runs are more dangerous as the police will try to stop you doing them, however, they award more money.
# Getting a vehicle
To start a run you'll need a vehicle that has a high trunk capacity. These vehicles are usually trucks or vans. All players start with a small truck, but you can buy a bigger one from the vehicle store once you have saved up enough money. Head to the vehicle garage and scroll wheel on the sign to open the menu.
WARNING
When buying a vehicle, check that you have the relevant Arma DLC required to drive it before purchasing.
# Starting a run
To start a run you need head to a field / mine indicated by the hand marker shown below.
Go within 25m of the marker on the map and press the windows key button. You will start gathering resources from the area and will show up in your inventory.
TIP
If pressing the Windows key doesn't work, try getting closer or setting a new Custom Action 10 key in your Arma keybinds.
To place gathered resources into your vehicle, press T whilst looking at your vehicle. This will open the transfer window where your vehicle's inventory is on the left, and your player inventory is on the right.
Click on the resources you have gathered and press "Store All", this will store as many resources as your vehicle can carry or all of them if it has space.
Keep gathering resources until there is no more space in either your inventory or vehicle.
# Processing Resources
You now need to process these resources into something a trader (or players) will want to buy. For this, you need to head to a processor indicated by the cog marker shown below.
TIP
Make sure you head to the right processor, most are obvious, like scrap yard to scrap processor, but some aren't so obvious, such as yeast field to moonshine processor.
When in doubt, ask in the Discord (opens new window).
When you get there, find the sign that has the "[ANYONE] Process Resource" action when you scroll wheel on it.
A progress bar will now show indicating you are processing the resources in your inventory. Once this bar has finished, you have processed the resources!
You now need to transfer the processed resources into your vehicle and take the unprocessed resources out again.
Keep doing this until you have processed all your resources.
WARNING
This is when you are most vulnerable to being robbed, make sure you are aware of your surroundings and keep an eye out for robbers.
# Selling Resources
Time to get some money. To sell the resources you've made, you need to head to the trader which will be denoted with the crate marker shown below.
TIP
All drugs (excluding moonshine) are sold at trader markers named "City Drug Dealer".
Once you have arrived, find the trader sign, it will have an action when you scroll wheel on it saying "[DEALER] Resource Dealer". Selecting that action will open the sale screen.
Click on your resources and then click sell all. Head back to your vehicle and keep grabbing resources and selling them until you have none left.
WARNING
Although this is the quickest part of the run, this is when you are most likely to get robbed. Be aware and if you hear a vehicle... run!
If you notice too late, don't forget to roleplay!
# Storing Money
Once you've sold your resources, you'll have a stack of cash on hand. Head to an ATM, these will be denoted by a green house marker shown below.
Scroll wheel on an ATM to open the bank menu and click "Deposit All".
Congratulations! You've completed your first run! Continue doing this to build up your wealth to buy better vehicles and equipment.
